Estate Living in the South Valley
Encino Homes Deserve More Than Generic Design
Encino takes its name from the old oaks that still shade its streets — "encino" is Spanish for oak — and from the natural spring now protected at Los Encinos State Historic Park on Ventura Boulevard. Today it's one of the San Fernando Valley's most established neighborhoods, known for wide lots, private pools and quiet streets just over the hill from the Westside.
Space is the reason people choose Encino, and it's also the hardest thing to design. Double-height living rooms swallow ordinary furniture. Open kitchens and family rooms run together with no clear zones. And the backyard, often half the value of the property, sits underused. We plan for scale first, so every room feels intentional instead of empty.
We work with homeowners, sellers and agents from the gated hills south of the Boulevard to the ranch-style streets of the flats.

Scale
Encino rooms are big, and they need pieces to match: deep sectionals, large-format art, oversized rugs and statement chandeliers that bring high ceilings down to a human scale.
Shade
Valley summers are hot and bright. Encino homes live best with cool stone, linen, shaded loggias and window treatments that tame the afternoon sun while keeping the garden in view.
Gathering
These are homes for holidays, pool parties and visiting family. We design dining rooms that seat a crowd, guest suites that feel like a boutique hotel and outdoor rooms for long summer evenings.
The Elements of Surf City Style
Design Note: Strong Valley sun fades rugs, art and upholstery faster than at the coast. In west-facing Encino rooms we use solution-dyed fabrics, UV-filtering shades and art hung away from direct light.

From a 1950s ranch on a quarter acre to a new-build estate with a pool house, we plan Encino homes inside and out, at the scale they were built for.
Where We Serve in Encino
Encino Neighborhoods We Work In
Ventura Boulevard divides Encino in two: hillside estates to the south, flatter streets of ranch and family homes to the north. We work on both sides, and in neighboring Tarzana and Woodland Hills. Reach out and ask.
South of the Boulevard
Hillside and gated estates climbing toward Mulholland Drive, with Valley views and luxury-level design expectations.
Amestoy Estates
A gated community of family homes near the Boulevard, designed for busy households and easy hosting.
Royal Oaks & Encino Hills
Larger traditional and Mediterranean homes on winding streets, refreshed with lighter, more current interiors.
Encino Park & the Flats
Single-story and rebuilt two-story homes on tree-lined streets near Encino Park and the Encino Velodrome.
Rancho Estates
Mid-century ranch homes on big flat lots north of Ventura, with wide backyards made for pools and play.
Ventura Boulevard Corridor
Condos and townhomes close to Encino Commons and the restaurant row, staged for buyers who want location without upkeep.
Why Encino Homeowners Choose Elfia
Big Rooms Need a Bigger Plan
Furnishing an Encino home one store trip at a time almost always ends with rooms that feel sparse. We plan the whole property at once, indoors and out, so it feels complete from the front door to the pool.
01
We Plan for Scale
We measure ceiling heights and room spans first, then choose furniture and lighting that fit, so nothing looks undersized.
02
Indoor and Outdoor, Together
Pools, loggias, guest houses and outdoor kitchens get the same design attention as the living room.
03
Built for Valley Sun
We choose fade-resistant fabrics, UV-filtering window treatments and finishes that stay beautiful through hot summers.
04
Pay at Closing Option
Through our partner Notable, qualifying Encino sellers can pay for staging at closing instead of upfront.
"A home can feel off for many reasons — layout, scale, furniture placement, or simply too much going on. I bring a fresh, professional eye to help you understand what to keep, what to adjust, and what truly makes a difference."

What Our Encino Clients Say
★★★★★
Elfia truly impressed me from the moment we spoke. She is proactive, humble, and incredibly efficient. She offered thoughtful ideas on how to reposition my existing furniture, along with suggestions on pieces that complement each other and create a more elevated, classy look.
After 23 years in real estate, I can confidently say it’s rare to find a stager who can transform a home so beautifully without requiring all new furniture.

★★★★★
Elfia has an incredible eye for design and a true talent for creating spaces that are both stylish and livable. From the very beginning, they took the time to understand my vision, lifestyle, and personal taste. Every suggestion she made — from the color palette and furniture choices to the small finishing touches — reflected a thoughtful approach and deep understanding of design harmony.
Communication was seamless throughout the entire process.

★★★★★
I live in Irvine and worked with Elfia to help me pull my home together because I was really overwhelmed trying to figure everything out on my own. I had pieces I liked, but nothing really flowed and I kept second guessing every purchase. She helped me choose furniture that actually fit the space properly ànd she worked within my budget (yay!). The whole process was very transparent and well organized.
